INTRODUCTION
The site Freedom in the Territories ranks particular territories according to their political freedoms and their civil rights. "Particular territories" means: colonies, dependencies, overseas territories, commonwealths, territories in conflict between two countries or self-declared independents. Moreover, there are particular territories like regions, provinces or states which have a different situation of political freedoms or civil rights with respect to the country.
